I’m a librarian. Don’t make shush your ass.
Thanks, Doug. I fixed it. (Usually the LWW catches all my mistakes.)

Here's a t-shirt slogan from the 1970's that I didn't see on your list.
Librarians are NOVEL lovers
Your comment "It's not rocket surgery" was used by a gifted and talented 8th grader in my science class last week.
Hi Doug,
Obviously a child with great promise!

Thanks, this list made my week start off with a laugh.
I believe it is a "non sequitur", not a "no sequitur".
Great list, found it when I was looking for the "I am the grammarian... line.
Hi Jake,
Right you are. I fixed the problem.
Thanks for the sharp eye.

One of my chemistry students today was wearing a black T-shirt with small white lettering on the front: "By reading this, you have given me brief control over your mind." Hilarious. Didn't get the chance to ask him where he'd gotten it, but a Google search of the statement led me to your site. What luck!! It's great - thank you!

Incidentally, I post four new teeshirt sayings each Monday in my Middle School Media Center (Northfield Mn). The students RACE in to see what funny sayings I have up....and then, of course while they are there, they also find a good book to check out!
